Bus rams through silent protest in Novi Sad

In a separate event, Novi Sad University students protested in support of School of Philosophy Professor Jelena Kleut for 17 Minutes of Silence, saying that the extra minute was in memory of the University which they said died at Friday’s session of its Senate which cost Kleut her job. Kleut was supposed to be made a full professor several months ago but the body first postponed a decision and then failed to promote her to full professor. The Senate voted not to appoint her and she appealed. Friday’s University Senate meeting cost her the job she has been doing for 20 years.
