Minister Nikola Selakovic and three other officials are appearing before the Special Court on charges of a series of illegal acts involving the falsification of an official document, which had allowed the government to strip the General Staff complex, heavily damaged during the 1999 NATO bombings, of its protected cultural heritage status, paving the way for a lex specialis (special law) to be passed.
