“We put forward several proposals aimed at further bolstering public confidence in the electoral process, and they will certainly be taken into consideration. These include designing the ballot in a way that prevents the so-called ‘Bulgarian train’ (a method of election rigging), and installing cameras at polling stations that would respect voter privacy while allowing for the monitoring of those entering. A third, more technically challenging proposal, is to prevent the use of mobile phones at polling stations,” Pavlovic said.
