The initiative said that the city authorities carried out the eviction on Tuesday without any prior notice. Four Roma families, including four young children, were removed from makeshift homes in an informal settlement. The operation involved representatives from the City Center for Social Work and the Secretariat for Social Protection, who arrived together with municipal services and gave residents just two hours to pack their personal belongings and move out, explained A11, adding that the families were then transported by minibus to a container settlement in Resnik, a suburb on the outskirts of the city.
