Board of Organized Crime Prosecutor’s Office: Vucic exerting constant pressure, executive and legislative branches trying to subordinate us

“This Prosecutor’s Office is not, nor will it ever be, a tool serving political interests. It has not conducted, is not conducting, and will never conduct proceedings according to the expectations of the president of the Republic, members of the legislative or executive branches, or any other political actors. It is not and never will be subject to sweeping, unfounded assessments of its performance. All of our work is focused on preserving the legal framework that guarantees stable, professional, and impartial action in organized crime and high-level corruption cases, which is in the interest not only of justice and fairness, but is an imperative for every society and all its citizens,” JTOK said, urging all political actors in Serbia to refrain from inappropriate commentary on the work of the office and to respect the powers granted to them by the Constitution and the law.
