Calling on Belgrade to honor its commitments, an EC spokesperson told RFE that, under the agreement, Serbia committed to not launching criminal investigations or prosecutions for alleged crimes committed in Kosovo unless requested by Kosovo authorities. Jurisdiction over allegations of war crimes and other serious criminal offenses lies with Kosovo’s institutions, the spokesperson explained.
