Under the recently adopted set of judiciary laws, prosecutors on temporary assignment with other prosecution offices would have to return to their original positions. That would leave some prosecution offices without the necessary personnel to deal with serious cases. The worst affected by the new laws is the Organized Crime Prosecution (TOK) which has just 9 of the 25 prosecutors it should have under the law since the 11 prosecutors on temporary assignment would have to return to their original offices. The TOK has come under fire from the regime because it has indicted several ministers and state officials over the collapse of the concrete canopy at the reconstructed Novi Sad Railway Station and over document tampering in the General Staff complex case.
