“We once again demand that the relevant authorities, the police and the prosecutor’s office review all cases of threats, pressure, and attacks against journalists and other media workers. It is unacceptable for media professionals to live and work in fear for their safety. Without safe journalists, there can be no media freedom or quality information for citizens. Impunity in these cases sends a dangerous message that attacking media workers is permissible, rather than holding perpetrators accountable,” ANEM said.
