„The state continues with capital public investment projects. In principle, this is a good thing for the economy, but do they really contribute as much if so many scandals are attached to them, from multiple increases in project costs to the most tragic event, the canopy collapse in Novi Sad? Every investment of public funds in a country that, according to Transparency International’s corruption perception, sits at the bottom of Europe, carries a serious risk of corrupt abuses, specifically the illegal alienation of public money by organized criminal groups. High prices are one side of corruption; the low quality of acquired products and services is the other. The first side wastes citizens’ money that could be used for many real needs of our society for which there is currently no funding,“ he stated.
